SYNOPSIS
How do two generations of musicians cope with a family legacy rooted in the experience of a woman, who survived the gas chambers by playing the cello in one of the Auschwitz orchestras? Mark Kidel“s film is character based and deals with the power of music in our lives. All of the Wallfisch family are unusually charismatic and articulate as well as being excellent musicians. The film is also funny, thought-provoking and moving with some highly accessible and beautiful music.
