SYNOPSIS

Alexandre Tharaud is one of the few musicians with a strong interest in film which made him an ideal choice for Oscar-winning Michael Haneke who cast him in ‘Amour’. Together with director Stéphane Aubé, himself a trained pianist, he produced a version of Bach’s towering Goldberg Variations, this time not to fight insomnia as legend will have it, but to keep viewers on their toes.
