SYNOPSIS

Stage Director Christof Loy and the DNO chose the original French version of this lesser known Verdi opera about the historical massacre of 1282 during the French occupation of Sicily. Loy’s exciting staging will hopefully return this interesting opera including a ballet to the mainstream repertoire. From Dutch National Opera.
